It can be doing all the basic task, multitasking, plus gaming on a decent frame rate.

If you set your budget around $700-$800 or 70,000Rs-80,000Rs, you will get a decent experience also 60+ frame rates while gaming. In order to run modern games at a decent 60fps, it’s highly recommended to spend at least this much amount.

Similarly, if you are a content creator or video editor, a cheap $400 PC isn’t enough handles the workloads and will slow your productivity. That’s definitely you don’t want to happen.

Processor

A processor or CPU(Central Processing Unit) is the brain of your computer. A good processor can able to do multiple tasks very fast and smoothly. Before buying processor look through its specification list, hence you get the know, how your CPU will perform.

Cores and threads refer to how many tasks a processor can handle at the same time. A higher number of cores and threads will help you to do multi-core task such as video editing, streaming, multitasking, etc.

Talking about cores, Intel hyper-threading technology can double your cores. Although not physically its logically do that. The interesting thing is that, although it’s logically, but your OS will treat and split the workload as two CPUs. Just look at the specification list of the CPU to know if it’s support hyper-threading or not.

Clock speed refers to how fast a task can be completed. Clock speed measure with MHz or GHz. 1 MHz representing 1 million cycles per second. While 1 GHz representing 1 thousand million cycles per second. The higher the CPU speed, the better a computer will perform, in a general sense.

For gaming, a higher clock speed will give you better result and fps. Although you can increase your clock speed by overclocking your CPU. All AMD’s desktop processor and Intel -K series are overclockable. For video encoding and streaming games on youtube and twitch, having 8 cores or 16 cores CPU will be a good choice.

Motherboard

The motherboard comes with different socket and size. Intel’s processors are compatible with the Z-series and AMD’s processor are compatible with B series or X series motherboard. Most modern Intel’s processor required LGA socket and AMD processor require AM4 socket.

If you are planning to overclock your CPU, make sure your motherboard supports overclocking. All the motherboards come in ATX, mATX, ITX size. ATX is the largest and ITX is the smallest in size.

Look at the number of RAM slot, how much RAM it will supports. Also, Look for PCI.e slot, number of SATA port, M.2 slot, etc before buying a motherboard. Always go for future proof. At least 2 PCI.e slots, 4 memory slots 3-4 SATA ports are recommended. So look through the specification list.

Graphics Card

The most important component for a gaming PC. Almost 50% of your budget will take the graphics card. So choose a graphics card carefully and as per your need. Which graphics card will best for you it depends on what type or on which resolution you play games.

GPU and graphics card manage all the graphical demand task like playing games, video rendering, etc. Most modern games and AAA titles require a decent graphics for getting at least a playable frame rate.

Check the VRAM amount and clock speed. VRAM or video memory is used to store graphical data before showing to the monitor. DDR5, DDR5X, DDR6 is the best type of memories.

on 1080P 60fps gaming a 2GB-4GB is a must required for modern games. If you are gaming on 1440P resolution 6GB VRAM is recommended. And if you fall that 0.5% of people who play games at 4k then 8GB VRAM will be your starting point.

VRAM is used on resolution and the game setting you want to set. But how much fps you will get is dependent on how powerful your GPU is. The power of the graphics card does not depend on VRAM or clock speed.

A high-end RTX 2080ti graphics card will not compatible with a core i3. The CPU will easily bottleneck the GPU. So choose the GPU according to your CPU to avoid the bottleneck.

Memory

Memory or RAM is another important part of your gaming PC. A fast and higher amount of memory always gives you an extra boost in your performance. RAM is tied up with your CPU, It can affect your CPU performance.

A dual-channel or quad-channel memory is always better than a single-channel memory. While purchasing make sure it supports dual or quad-channel. If yes, then buying two RAM sticks(4GB x 4GB or 8GB x 8GB) is worthy rather than a single 8GB or 16GB stick.

You should always consider a DDR4 memory for fast performance. DDR4 memory also boosts your multi-tasking or other productivity tasks such as video encoding or rendering. The higher amount of memory, the more multi-task a PC can perform without compromising in performance.

So how much RAM should you buy? Well, it depends, for decent 60fps gaming or little bit multi-tasking 8GB will be a good starting choice. On the other hand, if you stream your games on twitch or youtube, then 16GB is always recommended. But if you are a content creator or video editor, no doubt 32GB memory will increase your productivity.

Storage

So for storage, you should buy an SSD as well as an HDD. Nowadays not having an SSD, treat your PC slow and shitty. Although SSD does not just increase your overall performance also, it fast your file shearing, booting speed, etc. But SSD is more expensive than an HDD.

You can consider a 250GB SSD for windows to install the main operating system and store some important software. You will notice Softwares will be loaded very fast also boots your computer really quick. On the other hand, an HDD can store your games and media files.

A standard 1TB or 2TB 7200rpm HDD or a 250GB SSD will be a good starting choice.

Powersupply

Purchasing a power supply is pretty straight forward. Any reputed brand power supply is good. But how much wattage you need? 500W, 800W, or 1000W? Look at components you choose before. Are they much power-hungry?

Most of the power will consume by your GPU and CPU. Always having some extra wattage is good, it makes your PSU future proof plus it can provide a good amount of power to the components without compromise.

As the PC components are so sensitive and expensive, you don’t want to damage them. Right!. You should buy a power supply from a reputed brand like Corsair, Cooler Master, EVGA, etc. A third-party XYZ brand power supply can seriously damage your components.

Look at the rating on the PSU. Is it 80+ certified? If yes then it’s a good power supply, if no, don’t buy it. Any 80+ PSU whether it’s gold, bronze, platinum is considered a good power supply.

Cabinet

It’s so easy to buy a cabinet. Pick your cabinet as per your motherboard size ATX, mATX or ITX. If your mobo size is mATX then choose an ATX cabinet. Because it gives you some space to work on also for good airflow. A bigger case gives your components some space to breathe.

Cabinet comes with tempered glass side panel. The tempered glass side panel is for good looking it will not affect your performance. It is good to see the RBG components(If you have RBG on RAM, CPU cooler ) inside your case.

Look at ports on the front I/O of the cabinet. The most budget case doesn’t include the USB 3.0 port. So make sure it has at least 1 USB 3.0 port.

Airflow is most important in your cabinet to keep cool your PC component. So always choose cabinet with at least 4 fans section, 2 for intake and 2 for exhaust.
